PLOT

Eons ago, a set of trinkets with incredible powers were created. Inside of each of what many would call a god and to those who knew what the trinkets were, a Kwamii. There were a total of seven created, each with their own unique capabilities. But two of those were rumored to have more power than the others and were never to be separated. The reason being that they were almost powerless without each other. A man was given one of these trinkets and told to guard them until the ends of time. He agreed and became who we know today as the Great Guardian.

Many generations past and the Great Guardian was never alone even though he witnessed his friends and family fade away. The Kwamii within his trinket became a close friend and partner to him. Many say that it was the Kwamii that stopped him from going insane. Yet there was always something looming over him. A thought that one day someone would take one of the trinkets and use it for their own purposes. Despite his Kwamii's reassurance, the Great Guardian could not shake this feeling.

Unfortunately, his hunch was proved correct when one day a mysterious stranger broke into the Temple of the Miraculous and stole one of the trinkets which were now known to the world as Miraculous. The Great Guardian and his Kwamii were unable to stop the stranger. Because of this the stranger donned the Miraculous and began to grant others superpowers, using them for his own will.

The Great Guardian had no choice. He had to give the Miraculous of Creation and Destruction to new wielders who would be able to stop the stranger from harming more innocent lives. Thus the first Ladybug and Chat Noir were born. As a duo they fought the stranger and returned the stolen Miraculous to the Temple. When asked if they wanted to keep the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, they declined as they had found a future with each other.

In the future, many more teams of Ladybug and Chat Noir were to surface and each time they would hand their Miraculous back to the Great Guardian. Yet he began to notice that each time it was for a different reason. Sometimes the had found love between them, other times they hated each other and never wanted to face the other again with or without the mask. He eventually came to the conclusion that the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous had the power to bring two destined people together.... or tear them apart.

Once again again he began to feel that something was happening. Changing. It wasn't going to be for the better either. So the Great Guardian and his Kwamii Wayzz set each of the Miraculous into their own boxes in preparation for what was to come. However there was an seventh box that remained empty. One that had always been empty. There was an Eight Miraculous out there and it was going to cause trouble.
